GUASCOR POWER has been dedicating to the design and manufacture of diesel and gas engines and power systems since 1966.
The excellent quality and reliability of GUASCOR POWER engines have been verified in marine and industrial applications for more than 40 years. GUASCOR POWER continues its policy of opening new international offices and branches worldwide.
GUASCOR POWER concerned with the application of the newest technologies to our engines created a new research and development centre, GUASCOR R+D, back in 1996. This R&D centre is devoted to a constant innovation and improvement of the products. Located in Álava it is unique in Spain and considered as one of the most advanced in the world. The GUASCOR Research & Development Centre is also the head office for the engineering services of GRUPO GUASCOR.
Pioneer in Research:
Thanks to the analysis and evaluation of the engines, GUASCOR POWER I+D develop solutions to optimize their efficiency, durability and strength. GUASCOR POWER I+D technological center, the most advanced CAD program and stress analysis program based on Finite Element Methods for an Integral Management of the design of gas and diesel engines. It is considered one of the most advanced in the world. GUASCOR POWER I+D has is equipped with 22 state of the art test benched including hydraulic brakes, gearboxes for 1800 rpm, generators and resistance labs, gas chromatographs, computer simulation as well as electronic lab and a workshop for engines manipulation and instrumentation.
Marine Engines
For over 40 years, GUASCOR POWER has been gaining experiences in the marine field, where the engines are exposed to extremely hard working conditions. As a consequence GUASCOR POWER engines have designed and manufactured for such a big duty, keeping fuel consumption at low level.
GUASCOR POWER covers a power range from 35 to 1300 KW. The reliability of the GUASCOR POWER engines is a warranty against the risk of the sea. GUASCOR POWER marine gearboxes are known by their high quality, and are indeed the perfect match for a GUASCOR POWER engine in marine propulsion.
High Power, low emissions
A very successful design of the combustion chamber and the use of last-generation turbochargers make it possible to optimize the combustion, thus very high power levels are reached whilst keeping the emissions at low level.

Piston tightness is provided by three rings, with a minimum of friction and very low oil consumption, in designing the engines, consideration was given to their intensive use and to the desirability of easy and economical maintenance.

Over 90% of the parts of the different models are interchangeable. This allows larger production runs, improved quality controls and a better service of spares.

Engines Latest technology
GUASCOR POWER engines are four-stroke, direct injection, turbocharged, turbocharged-after cooled engines with four valves per cylinder. Thanks to the application of the latest technologies in supercharging and fuel injection, it is possible to obtain more power while reducing consumption and the temperature in the combustion chamber.

Gas engine technology
The new GUASCOR POWER SFGLD series stand for their toughness and high performance under the hardest working conditions. GUASCOR POWER has applied new very resistant materials in the construction of the SFGLD engines.
One GUASCOR POWER SFGLD engines, load carburetion, speed and load are electronically self controlled, so they can operate at constant and limited emissions in spite of variation. The engine adapts to different qualities of gas which even allows switching from natural gas to biogas with no stops. A computerized module provides readouts of the spark plugs condition or allow ignition advance to be adjusted through external signals. GUASCOR POWER may be fitted with GUASCOR POWER engines can be equipped with detonation detection and control system. This enables the engine to work under servers working conditions while avoiding the effects of persistent detonation.
